Jeanine Tatlock was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and moved to Apollo Beach, Florida at age 13. She graduated from New College of Florida in Sarasota, where she studied Art and German, and then moved to North Carolina to pursue an MFA in Studio Art at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently resides in Gainesville, Florida.
Tatlock's contemporary art practice centers around institutional critique and considers how inequalities in race, gender, and class are perpetuated by architecture, memorials, and public space.
